HangLab Wall Mount for Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber (UCG-Fiber)

Color: White
Price:
$34.99

Description

The UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber ships as a desktop unit with nothing on the back to hang it from. The HangLab bracket puts it flat on the wall in the closet, next to the patch panel, and securely supports the gateway in any mounting position: upright with the ports to the left or right, or sideways with the ports facing up or down. Cables run straight in, nothing sits in front of the SFP+ cages, and the status display on the opposite edge stays in view.

Fitting takes seconds and no tools. Slip one end of the gateway under the bar, press the other end in behind the opposite bar and let it settle onto the corner seats. Once it is in, the bars, side posts and end walls hold it on every side, so it cannot work loose, whichever way up the bracket is hung. Lift and swing to take it off again.

The back plate is an open frame that stands the gateway 3 mm off the wall, and both ends are open, so the underside and the vent slots stay in free air and it runs as cool as it does on a desk.

Designed and printed in-house by HangLab in glass-fiber reinforced PET, a stiff, heat-tolerant engineering plastic with a satin matte finish. The HANGLAB mark is set into the inside of the frame, where the gateway covers it; on the wall the bracket shows no branding at all. Choose white or black to match the install.

In the box

  • Wall bracket, in the color you choose
  • Four #8 flat-head wall screws with drywall anchors

Fits

Ubiquiti UCG-Fiber, every storage version (no storage, 1 TB, 2 TB). It holds the gateway only; the power adapter plugs in as usual. The UCG-Max and UCG-Ultra are shorter and don't fit this bracket; for the UCG-Max, see the HangLab UCG-Max bracket.

Mounting

Four countersunk holes on 2.30 × 7.63 in. (58.4 × 193.8 mm) centers take the supplied screws into a stud or the anchors; the heads sit flush and the gateway hides them. Hang the bracket upright or on its side, whichever suits the cable run. The bracket is 5.76 × 8.81 in. (146 × 224 mm) and stands 1.69 in. (43 mm) off the wall with the gateway in it.

Shipping

HangLab mounts are made to order in Missouri and ship within 1 to 3 business days. They go by USPS, and shipping is free.

HangLab bracket or Ubiquiti's Floating Mount?

Ubiquiti makes its own wall mount for this gateway, the Floating Mount 23 cm (UACC-FM-23cm). Both hang a UCG-Fiber on the wall. This is how they compare on each maker's published specifications.

It holds the gateway on all sides, fits without tools, hangs with the ports left, right, up or down, and comes in white or black. Ubiquiti's Floating Mount is Ubiquiti's own accessory, and Ubiquiti lists it for the UXG-Fiber as well as the UCG-Fiber. Ubiquiti's details are taken from techspecs.ui.com and store.ui.com.

Questions

Does it fit the UCG-Max or UCG-Max-NS?

No. The UCG-Max is a different size. The HangLab UCG-Max bracket fits both the UCG-Max and the UCG-Max-NS.

Does it fit the UCG-Ultra?

No. The UCG-Ultra is much shorter than the UCG-Fiber, so this bracket cannot hold it.

Does it hold the power adapter?

No. The bracket holds the gateway only. The power adapter that comes with the UCG-Fiber plugs into the gateway as usual and is not held by the bracket.

Can it go on drywall, or does it need a stud?

Either. The four supplied #8 flat-head screws go straight into a stud, or into the four supplied drywall anchors where there is no stud. The heads sit flush and the gateway hides them.

What colors does it come in?

White or black, chosen when you order. The UCG-Max bracket comes in white only.
