Desktop firewalls, switches and mini PCs were never meant for a rack, and the shelf they usually end up on is where cables get pulled and power bricks fall out. A rack mount kit fixes that: the appliance sits in a steel enclosure that fills a rack space, its ports face the front, and on most kits the power supply is held inside.
Every kit here is made by Rackmount.IT for specific models. Shop by appliance: Fortinet, Cisco and Meraki, Palo Alto, Sophos and SonicWall, plus kits for WatchGuard, Barracuda, Check Point, HPE and Aruba switches, the UniFi Switch Lite 8 PoE, Mac mini and HP mini PCs. Look up your model with the kit finder, or read how to rack mount a desktop firewall.
Common questions
My model is not listed. Can you get a kit?
Often, yes. Rackmount.IT makes kits for far more devices than we list. Email support@rackit.com with the exact model from the label on the appliance and we will check.
Does the power supply go inside the kit?
On most kits it does, so the brick cannot be pulled loose or left hanging from a rail. The product page for each kit says what it holds.
Can two appliances share one rack space?
For the FortiGate 90G and 91G, and the Palo Alto PA-440, PA-450 and PA-460, there are DUO kits that hold two units side by side in 1U.
How fast do kits ship?
Orders placed by 2 PM Central on a business day go to our warehouse partner that day, and most ship within 1 to 2 business days.
