Everything here suits a small UniFi setup in a closet, a basement or a utility room: somewhere to hang the gateway, a wall rack for the switch and patch panel, and battery backup so the network rides through a power cut.
Gateway on the wall. The HangLab wall mounts hold a UniFi Cloud Gateway Max (white) or Cloud Gateway Fiber (white or black) flat on the wall, upright or sideways. They hold the gateway only; the power adapter plugs in as usual. HangLab mounts are made to order in Missouri and ship within 1 to 3 business days.
Rack. The Tripp Lite SmartRack SRW6UW and SRW6UKD are 6U wall cabinets that take equipment up to 16.5 in. deep. The SRWO12US is a 12U switch-depth open frame that pivots out from the wall for access to the back. The Rackmount.IT RM-UB-T4 puts a UniFi Switch Lite 8 PoE into one rack space with its power supply held inside the tray.
Cabling and power. A 24-port Cat5e panel, feed-through or punchdown, covers most homes; the 48-port Cat6 panel suits a bigger build. The CyberPower 1U UPS units give a gateway, a PoE switch and a modem time to ride out an outage. Compare the UPS depth with the rack's maximum equipment depth before ordering.
Racks, panels and UPS units ship from US warehouses. Orders placed by 2 PM Central on a business day go to our warehouse partner that day, and most ship within 1 to 2 business days. Not sure what fits your closet? Email support@rackit.com with your gear list.
