Tripp Lite SmartRack racks for network closets, offices and home labs, from a 6U wall cabinet to a 25U floor-standing open frame. Every rack here takes standard 19 in. equipment.
Wall-mount enclosures. The 6U SRW6UW (white) and SRW6UKD (ships knocked down) are closed, ventilated cabinets for a switch, a patch panel and a small gateway. Both take equipment up to 16.5 in. deep and carry 200 lb.
Wall-mount open frames. The SRWO8U22 family starts at 8U and expands to 12U or 22U as the closet grows, in switch-depth, patch-depth and UPS-depth versions. The 12U SRWO12US pivots out from the wall for access to the back, and the SRWO12US2 has a hinged front.
Floor-standing open frames. 2-post racks in 12U, 13U, 16U and 25U, and 4-post racks in 12U and 25U, for rooms with floor space and gear that needs rear support.
Depth decides more than height: measure the deepest device, then check the rack's maximum equipment depth on its page. For help sizing, read sizing a network rack and wall-mount vs open-frame vs full enclosure.
Common questions
How many rack units do I need?
Add up the rack units of everything you plan to install, then leave room to grow. A patch panel, a switch and a 1U UPS take 3U, so a 6U cabinet still has space for a shelf or a second switch.
Will a UPS fit in a wall-mount rack?
Most rackmount UPS units are deeper than a switch. Choose a UPS-depth rack such as the SRWO8U22DP, or compare the UPS depth with the rack's maximum equipment depth before ordering.
How do racks ship?
Orders placed by 2 PM Central on a business day go to our warehouse partner that day, and most ship within 1 to 2 business days. Larger racks that go by truck freight are sold by quote: email sales@rackit.com with the part number and delivery ZIP code.
