Power distribution units for racks and network closets, from a plain 1U outlet strip to units you can meter and switch from a browser. Filter by type, mounting, outlet count, amps and network management, then check the voltage and input plug of each model against the receptacle you actually have.
Basic PDUs split one circuit into rack outlets. Metered PDUs show the load, so you know what is left on the circuit. Switched PDUs let you power-cycle a single outlet remotely, which saves a trip when a modem or access point hangs. The range covers APC by Schneider Electric, Middle Atlantic and CyberPower, in 1U and 2U horizontal and 0U vertical formats. Every model ships new with the manufacturer's warranty. Common questions
Which input plug do I need?
Match the plug to the receptacle on the wall: 5-15P for a standard 15A outlet, 5-20P or L5-20P for a 20A circuit, L5-30P for 120V 30A, and L6-30P for 208V 30A. The NEMA and IEC plug chart shows each one.
Metered or switched?
A metered PDU shows the load. A switched PDU adds outlet-by-outlet on and off control. If you will ever need to reboot gear remotely, buy switched. More in metered vs switched PDUs.
How much can I plug in?
Plan to load a circuit to no more than 80 percent of its rating for continuous use: about 12A on a 15A circuit and 16A on a 20A circuit.
How fast does it ship?
PDUs ship from US warehouses. Orders placed by 2 PM Central on a business day go to our warehouse partner that day, and most ship within 1 to 2 business days.
